City Information

Located on Main Street in the Community Center, the City Office is your resource for all municipal and utility questions and needs.

 

The City Office manages:

  • Utility set-up and payments (water/sewer/garbage).

  • Community Center space rental for meetings, weddings, reunions, sports practice, etc.

  • RV hook-up rentals (two 50-amp hook-ups with RV waste dump available at the City Park).

  • Peddler’s permit and licensing (food trucks, merchandise sales, etc.).

  • City concerns and suggestions.

The Timber Lake Board of Trustees consists of five members and meets the first Monday of every month at 6 p.m., or as scheduled. Call the City Office with questions, concerns, or to be put on the agenda.

The Timber Lake Topic & Isabel Dakotan is our weekly newspaper, keeping our region and beyond in the know about local events and news.

The Topic has been in business since 1910, and in 2015, merged with the Isabel Dakotan. In addition to the weekly newspaper, the Topic provides photography, ads, design, and printing services.

Elementary (PreK-5): 168 students.
Middle School (6-8): 81 students.
High School (9-12): 113 students.


 

Local Scholarships

Thanks to the generous support of donors, local senior students can apply for thousands of dollars in scholarships. In 2024, more than $50,000 was awarded to graduates in local scholarships, and the Bob & Ruth Urban Scholarship made up an impressive $41,000 of that amount.
